Aon has named Citibank Asia Pacific executive Jeff Plein as its new Asia Pacific COO.  The appointment follows Bill Hooper’s move to the position of Global COO of Commercial Risk Solutions.  Mr. Plein will lead the company’s approach to its Asia Pacific market, saying the region “presents significant opportunities for growth and innovation”.  He has also been appointed to the company’s Asia Pacific Executive Committee and Business Services Global Leadership Team. Mr. Plein previously served as Citibank’s MD, Asia Pacific Head, Securities Services Operations, and has senior leadership experience within the region for banking and investing firms. Mr. Plein will be based in Singapore, reporting to Aon Global COO Mindy Simon and Asia Pacific CEO Anne Corona.
